Poor sound quality. Very surprised.
I have a 536 model in my living room and it shakes the place when watching an explosive type movie. I was so happy with that unit that when I needed something with a smaller footprint for the bedroom, I bypassed the other manufacturers and went straight to the LG models. I had previously owned a Sony home theater but the speakers felt lightweight, hollow and the sound was very cheap. I've had computer speakers put out better quality audio. I never thought I'd have that issue with LG once I bought the 536 because the speakers are heavy, high quality and sound fantastic.

The box was about 30 pounds which is similar to the 536 so I thought I made a very good purchase. After removing the speakers from the box though, they had that cheap, Sony-ish, hollow feel. I didn't worry about it since LG makes quality stuff but once it was hooked up it was like another planet compared to the living room speakers. The sound quality is just not that good. LOVE IT
i love this system for the price you cant find a better system with all the same features the sound is great,clear and perfect for my living room for movies and gaming it makes even regular dvd's look almost blue ray quality as far as the 3D goes i havent got the chance to use it yet (my 3D T.V. wont be here till Tue.)
Netcast is worthless. DLNA is finicky
I got this assuming the netcast content would be same as other LG devices (Netflix, MLB.tv, Vudu, Pandora,etc.). It has NOTHING useful (except maybe youtube) and software updates don't help. LG says this is "basic" model and does not contain the good apps.

DLNA does not work unless you put Nero on every computer. The other LG devices I have pick up all my network drives without having to put Nero on computers. And even with Nero, the LHB306 does not pick up the drives half the time.

Im have to keep this (because return shipping is too expensive) but ONLY use it as home theater. I will need to buy another device to stream media files and get useful online content. This thing is worthless other than playing DVD and being home theater. Unfortunately I mainly bought it for Netflix and MLB.tv and to stream movies from my network drives....none of which work.

Where to start...

Nerd's notes:
First of all, for those that get the Sony BDV-E570 that was manufactured earlier in the year, it may have been before they fixed the issues with the software upgrade. I believe I received such a model. Being the overly concerned nerd that I am, I read the manual. It is not very specific, but does tell you to plug in the network cable to perform the upgrade. Read into this and you must assume to NOT PERFORM THE UPGRADE OVER WIFI. Well, you can take that a step further, (which of course I did), and you can download the update directly from Sony, place the files on a blank CD-R, then place the disk in the player and perform the update that way (it auto detects that the disk contains update files very nicely). This worked perfectly. No issues like the horror stories I have been hearing about this model (earlier this year), and the next model up the BDV-E770W. Sony Blu-Ray & 5.1 Sound System
Right out of the box, it was very easy to set up as long as you the patience to find a way to run the rear speakers with hiding the speaker wire. Also, the speaker wire to the the rear speakers is too short to place them far enough back to optimize the 5.1 sound.

I Wish that the subwoofer was powered. The passive subwoofer gives good sound, not great sound. The 1,000 watt system easily fills the large family room with quality sound.

The system has the minimum amount of inputs, but lacks an audio out-put to run a set of B speakers to another room in the house.

I haven't tried the WiFi conection to the internet yet. I'll update my review after I try the WiFi feature.

Overall, It's a good system for anyone looking for a complete Blu-Ray video & DTS 5.1 audio right out the box. I got the best price from Amazon (Amazon stands behind any product that you purchased fom them) and it was deilver in two days. Other than the rear speaker wires (it's...
It works pretty well, but....
I bought this system to replace my Sony 5 speaker system with a 5 CD/DVD changer and a receiver, which was getting a little dated. It does some great things that I couldn't do with my other system, but there are also some drawbacks. I appreciated most of the reviews on this website, but here are my 2 cents:

pros: Can watch Netflix "watch instantly" movies and shows
can listen to Pandora
can watch photos, videos from a flash drive
sound is pretty good, comparable to my last system

cons: It cannot play my iPod (5th gen iPod classic). Watch out for this: the system can play some iPod's, but not others.
It cannot play European (other than region 1) DVD's. I now have to hook up my European DVD player to the television because the unit is not a real receiver.
Does FM, not AM radio

Overall, it was a good buy for me since I got it on Amazon for $350, so I can't complain too much.

Excellent Home Media PC (minus Netflix HD streaming)
The other reviews have talked about why this is a great little device, so I won't re-iterate all that here other than to say I totally agree. There are a few things, though, that I want to note.

First, as of this writing, this device does NOT play Netflix HD streaming without being choppy to the point of being unwatchable! The audio will play just fine, but the framerate of the video drops so low that you just can't watch it. BUT, notice I say "at the time of this writing", because this is NOT the fault of the Revo RL70. The inability to play Netflix HD streaming lies entirely with Netflix and Microsoft (who make Silverlight, which is what Netflix uses for streaming). The Revo RL70 can play other HD content just fine. YouTube 1080p streaming works just fine, as do 1080p video files. Netflix and Silverlight simply have a problem playing HD video correctly. It's entirely possible they may fix this at some point, so this may not be true in the future. Do a lot of searching...

Pretty Impressive
A VERY tiny device! A 2 gig AMD based PC using Win7. Not the fastest PC you will ever use, but fast enough for web browsing and document creation & editing. And with a reasonably fast internet connection, quite suitable for viewing internet video.

It has no CD/DVD player, it has built in wireless network connection (fast as any laptop) and a wired network connection, It also comes with a remote control (with a tiny keyboard built on!), and a wireless keyboard and mouse.

The regular keyboard is one of those compact Keyboads with no separate numeric keypad. A little awkward to use at first(the keys seem a little close together, and the keys aren't all in places where you might think they should be. The mouse is OK. However both are connected to the tiny PC by the use of a tiny USB reciever (stored for travel in the battery compartment of the mouse.) This means that if you just can't get used to the keyboard/mouse combination, you can replace it with a 3rd...
Smoother than Atom/ION
Overall this is quite a bit faster and smoother than the Atom/ION HTPC I have set up on a different TV.There is some ACER bloatware to get rid of, but some of the pre-installed programs (Office Starter)are actually quite useful if you are going to use it as a basic desktop. It is plenty fast enough for office programs and surfing the web. Hope the version with the attached optical drive makes it to market. The internal Ralink Wifi has much better connectivity and range than the Zotac mini PC's with Atheros chips. Highly recommended for a basic PC or HTPC use.

Thunderstorrm rocks

Completely Useless
I thought it would be a great idea to test this out at an apple store, the employee's let me try it out. I used my iPad 2. Music works no problem, but the quality is horrible. It sounds worse than 2 homeless people beating on a trashcan top with chopsticks. Also it says the Belkin Thunderstorm is meant for gaming. So I tried a few games. First I attempted to play FIFA 13, No sound at all. Next I tried The Walking Dead. Again no sound. I then tried to play Infiniti Blade 2, and yet again... No sound. I would not recommend this to ANYONE even if their life depended on it. I appreciate Belkin's products.. But seriously Belkin... You failed this time.

Great Screen!!
I ordered this screen on Friday night, it shipped the next day (Saturday) and arrived at my door on Monday. That was fast!! Make sure you sit 15-20 feet away to enjoy it because this screen is HUGE!!! My theater room is 20'x20' and I have to sit way at the back to appreciate this thing. This screen is actually the Spectrum/VMAX2(PLUS) series. The screen came with the IR remote, 12V trigger cable, and bubble level. It has no mounting hardware (i.e. screws, L-brackets, etc.). No problem, a trip to the hardware store fixed that problem. Once it's mounted, the screen slides down nicely (slowly) with the touch of the remote. I'm using this screen with my Panasonic PT-AE2000U and love it so far!!! I would definitely recommend it for the price.

This electric powered motorized projection screen is worth every penny. I just love the ease and simplicity to operate it plus the case color matches my wall. Got this screen as soon as Amazon sold literally 200 screens in 2 to 3 days, no kidding. I was hesitating to buy one when there was 220 screens left, but checked 3 days after and just 2 was left, guess it was a steal. Installed it in my ceiling overhang which happened to be at the perfect 10 feet in height. Bought a heavy duty dry wall fastener to hang it from and WOW, it worked perfectly as expected, even like the motorize sound it makes, screen when open hangs 5 feet from the floor. Got my 1080P Sony Pearl projector installed up the ceiling,I finally got my home theater room, complete with thick dark window shades for perfect viewing.

It is what it is!
I bought this thing thinking that it would do alot more than what it does. Like VOD or watch recent tv shows, I can do almost everything that this unit does already with my HR DVR box. Does it work, yes. Would I buy another one, NO.

I work as an IT person for a large movie studio and even for me it was also a HUGE pain in the rear to set-up. I ended up having to call Directv and have a service person come and hook it up.

The problem with the set-up on this unit is you have to lower your router settings to WEP from WPA2 to get it to work.

Although I haven't had much time to mess with this unit and find a way to get the settings back to WPA2, when I figure it out I will surely be posting the solution all over the internet.

I think what I'm gonna do instead of buying another one of these units is, take one of the spare computers and hook it up wirelessly to the TV and call it good from there.

Great Product!
I love that Directv got with the program a while back and got on demand service. However, they wanted to charge me 100 bucks for the wireless connection kit. I said no thank you. Well a year later I happened to stubble upon the product on amazon and purchased it for more than 50 percent off and super quick shipping. So way better deal if you ask me.

The set up was quick and easy. I will say the learning curve was a bit hard as for learning how to actually find the on demand shows. I mean the free ones. It was plenty easy to find what they wanted to charge you for. But once I got the hang of it, it was just like using cable or fios on demand service.
Works great for what it is
Please note--this will not...repeat NOT...allow you to stream live TV from your Direct TV receivers--if you'd like to add whole-home type capability, this will do the trick without networking your home or running new cables.
The shortcoming is not in these boxes, but in the way that Direct TV has opted to limit sharing--I'm assuming to prevent 'theft', but it is a hassle when you're trying to network existing receivers into other media devices (such as a wireless capable blue-ray player).
