Series A Samsung owners read this!
I have spoke to Samsung level 2 support and wanted to let everyone here know that although Amazon brings this link for this device up when you search for model WIS08BG this device WILL not work with your series A 2008 model TV, not even if your TV was manufactured in 2009 and is a series A! This device (WIS09ABGN) will only work with Samsung Series B TV'S! Don't even try to order it or you will be dissatisfied! The drivers are not compatible with series A TV'S

Does the job but hate proprietary equipment
We purchaced a Samsung Blu-Ray / Internet capable machine. It states it has wire and wireless capabilities. Little do they tell you if you want wireless you MUST purchace this product. No other USB capable wireless adapter will work. Thanks for sticking us with another $75 we didn't expect.
Samsung Wireless LAN Adaptor for Blu-Ray Player
I have the Samsung LN52A-650 LCD TV and the BD-P1600 Blu-Ray player. I have wireless internet access in my house. Initially, I had a real problem getting the BR player to connect to the internet. It would find my SSID but would not connect. When I set the configuration to manual and input all the requested information, it failed the Ping test. After hours of troubleshooting, I found a piece of information on the web, telling me that the SSID cannot have characters or spaces in the ID. I had spaces in the SSID name, so once I fixed that, it connected without a problem. I didn't need to buy a new wireless router. That seemed to be the leading fix for this problem for others on the web. However, I didn't want to go through the hassle of re-configuring a new wireless router nor did I wanted to spend the money on one. In the end, I didn't have to.
