With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

I like, but don't love it
I purchased this on Cyber Monday, so it was only $94. For $94, this speaker delivers great sound. I am not sure whether I would be happy with it if I paid more than $100 due to the frequency in loss of pairing. I am trying to isolate when the loss occurs, but it is often enough for me to get a bit agitated. In reading the other reviews, I am surprised that the iPhones and iPads are losing connectivity or getting disruptions, as this JBL was created more for the iProducts. I use a PC laptop and Android and only lose connectivity with the PC laptop. I've even taken a few phone calls while listening to music through the speakers and when the phone call completed, I felt that the music seamlessly streamed through again.
I love listening to my deep house or fun pop tunes through the speakers nonetheless, as it does deliver a quality of bass sound and clarity that I expected. The sound is grand and round enough for me to forgive the loss of pairing (especially at $94). I bought...

Great Bluetooth Speaker
The sound is great...by far superior to other speakers I have tried like this. It hooked up to my iphone right away. If you are in the market for this type of product I highly recommend this one.
Nice but not Perfect...(What Is?)
JBL is a name brand and lives up to its quality with this product. Much bigger than its competitors (but still compact) - the edge here is its shape and sound which was designed to fill a room. Sound quality is great and less constipated / boxy than other smaller devices.
Some caveats - some tweaking will be needed for Mac devices. We tested it with 2 iphones - one worked perfectly - the other had problems. Updated the IOS software for one and it was fine. Our Ipad v1 is unable to even detect the device, so updating the OS on that to see if it makes a difference. Macbook Air worked fine - and then couldn't connect subsequently even though it could see the device. There seems to be a Macbook Air issue for Bluetooth devices which requires troubleshooting. Also, the Macbook Air doesn't recognise the device via USB which means that (so far) it can't be used as a two-way speakerphone for Skype. There is of course, the stereo jack input.
