Works as advertised
This adapter does exactly what it says it will. It works perfectly with my Netgear dual band router (on the 5 GHz band). Set up was easy, and fairly self explanatory. This adapter is very small (the picture makes it seem larger) and light weight. I'm using it to bring WiFi to my WDTV Live. The built in WiFi adapter on the Western Digital device does not support the 5 GHz band (which is essential for a media streaming device). I can get all my Netflix and HD movies from my mediaserver without stuttering.

drops the connection consistently
The only thing this received does well is dropping the connection after 30 seconds. Sometimes it stays connected for a few hours, in a good week maybe a day or two, then all of sudden for no good reason it goes haywire. When that happens chances are even if you reset the device it will drop the connection again for the new few hours. You can't even connect to the web interface when it does that, just goes dead.
Got it up and running!
I just purchased this little WiFi adapter for my home entertainment system. It's hooked up to my Blu-Ray player for now to stream from my network. Installation was easy enough thru WPS. Upgraded the firmware (a must!)and away she went. Good signal strength from my Netgear WNDR4500 Dual Band Router and the streams are strong and constant.
So Far....So Good! It's worth the bucks.
