Pyle amplifier- 100 watts
This is a good, wholesome amplifier with a decent amount of power that is totally a great deal to boot! Magical sound comes straight out of this puppy, lighting up my car audio with that much-needed boost I had been looking for.
This vs Lepai LP-2020A+
Ok, so basically this amp has the LP-2020A+ chip inside, with the one distinction that it shuts off the amp sooner (you won't be able to get much overdriven sound out of it).
I initially bought it to see the difference between both amps. Turns out it's the same overrated crap! Killawatt meter tells me it shuts off ~10-12W RMS, and uses 2.2W on idle (without music). That's ~5W per channel, and a far cry from the 100W it posted on the title. Dillusional numbering...
The LP-2020A+ starts distorting at around 15W (this one around 10W).
I bought the more expensive version, hoping I'd get more power output but it's less loud than the Lepai LP-2020+, but I was wrong.
Turns out all the Pyle mini amps (PFA 100, 200, 300, and 400), use the same internals, with the difference of card reader and USB (which seems to consume 0.2W)
The unit comes with a remote control, to change volume, EQ (there are 4 settings, flat, jazz, rock, techno, and something...
